This machine beverage packaging return system is part of deposit, refund and return (SDDR) of the University of Barcelona. Anyone can deposit there their empty beverage containers, but only the university community can get a refund of the deposit of € 0.10 paid when buying drinks in vending machines Building and Historic Building Josep Carner.

The recovery system of packaging is part of the UB Returns, which includes all actions aimed at promoting the improvement of collection and waste reduction in our centers. This system aims to increase the proportion of packaging waste recovered at the University, as the yellow containers for selective collection not achieved results satisfactory enough.
