The project is a serving station for charging electric vehicles that integrates photovoltaic generation system, storage system, and even support functions to the grid.
Awarded an innovative project load for electric cars
The Center
for Research Resources and Energy Consumption (CIRCE) University of Zaragoza
has been awarded
the prize for
Best Practice in Sustainable Mobility for
a project on
electric vehicle charging. The initiative has earned the award is the project serves (Integrated Systems Electric Vehicle Charging) and has been funded by the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness and by the European Union mijançant ERDF funds to promote the development of electric vehicles.
The electric vehicle is an alternative clean and comfortable vehicle with internal combustion engine, the transmission of electric vehicles could be a problem for the distribution network, mainly in low voltage. The problem would be if you concentrated refills during times of maximum power consumption which could saturate the network
The project serves is to develop and build an innovative
charging station for electric vehicles in a single unit
that integrates photovoltaic generation system,
storage system, and even
support functions
to the grid. In fact, the joint use of storage systems and power generation in allowing served by adequate specific controls, improve network quality in the area in which the effect of increasing installed security supply.
