Equipment of the Barcelona Environmental Equipment Network (XEAB).

El Bosc Turull is an old private estate owned by the municipality that has an environmental classroom. It is part of the node where the green corridor that wants to end up joining the hills of Putxet, Parc Güell and Collserola converges, with the corridor that joins the Tres Turons (del Coll, Carmell and de la Rovira).
The municipal environmental education equipment is part of the network of community spaces as it is managed and energized by an association, the Catalan Society of Environmental Education.

The Bosc Turull Environmental Classroom seeks to be a point of reference in the promotion of environmental education and sustainability, promoting neighborhood participation, environmental and social organizations in the district, neighborhood schools and networking, with the aim to make it easier for children, young people and citizens in general to access information, knowledge and reference environmental practices.
The aim is to create new social links focused on urban sustainability, biodiversity conservation and networking while linking environmental education with community and social transformation projects.

In the Environmental Classroom there are 16 plots of municipal and community gardens and some plots of school and organization gardens:

• La Farigola School in Vallcarca has a vegetable garden in Turull. The garden in Turull is managed by the 4th grade boys and girls, it is an ecological garden where lettuce, beetroot, among other vegetables are grown and watered with a hose
• The Montseny School has a plot of 70 m2 in the Bosc de Turull. It is an organic garden with a manual irrigation system and where calçots, seasonal potatoes, peas, broad beans and pumpkins are grown. There is also a space of aromatic plants to scare away insects. It has a butterfly garden and an insect hotel.

Also several permanent projects of different entities and collectives: nursery of the Associació Depana , learning space of the Casas d'Officis de Barcelona Activa, space for permacultural experimentation, municipal community composter of the Classroom and also the composter Vallcarca's Punt Verd community , cat colony... Together we maintain the space and ensure its operation.

The Classroom is open 21 hours a week and offers a quarterly program of activities for citizens, self-guided activities by schools and leisure and parenting groups, and the transfer of discovery spaces and materials.
