The CIB - Immersion Biology Club, is an entity that was created in 1983, within the Faculty of Biology of the University of Barcelona.
From the beginning, the philosophy of immersion of the CIB, as well as the guidelines of its training courses for new divers were aimed at promoting a type of environmentally friendly immersion, and favoring the parallel formation of many students of marine biology. In this sense and framed within a clear vocation of service, the CIB has worked and works in the development of its four lines
foundational:
1. Training of skilled scuba artists through basic and advanced diving courses, within strict safety margins, good training and respect for the marine environment.
2. Dissemination of Marine Biology and the underwater world with all available means, courses, workshops and audiovisual conferences.
3. Organization of leisure activities, with collective excursions of immersion, meetings and trips that foment the participation and the knowledge of the partners to each other, extending its underwater, cultural and social knowledge.
4. Environmental Protection, through collaboration in awareness campaigns and training in respect for the marine environment, encouraging our members a vocation for naturalists in the sea.
