The false pepper or pepper
tree (Schinus molle) is an evergreen tree of the family Anacardiaceae, which usually 5 to 7 meters.
He is a native of the highlands of Bolivia, Peru and Chile.
It is prized as an ornamental tree because of its shape, similar to the willow and the pleasant scent given off.
The trunk can reach over the years, to a diameter of 40 cm. The leaves and aromatic lanceolate, alternate pennades and can reach up to 30 cm long.
The fruit with an aroma similar to that of pepper, can be consumed but only in small quantities, which is slightly toxic.
