On the map you will find over 400 retail establishments in bulk. This trade helps reduce the waste of resources and waste generation in the form of unnecessary packaging.
Commissioned by the City Council took a census of establishments selling in bulk. The result of this work was to obtain a list of over 400 outlets representing many business sectors of the city have in bulk selling its hallmark. The sustainability component of the bulk sale basically consists in reducing packaging. We are surrounded by packing in many cases redundant and have a very ephemeral life. A case in everyday products are individually wrapped and then confectionery industry overall, allegedly for reasons of hygiene and preservation. This creates an excess of packaging waste of resources and the proliferation of waste treatment difficult.
Moreover, in stores selling bulk tends to give a more personal relationship between the buyer and the shopkeeper, often linked to trade in the district, so far from supermarkets.
So find unmapped establishments in the food industry as dried or cooked vegetables, nuts, herbs and spices, teas, coffees, wines, etc. You will not find fruit, vegetables, meat, fish, dairy and eggs, unless they are of organic origin or proximity condition that gives them a reason to appear on the map. There are household cleaning products and personal hygiene.
This is not an exhaustive list and that is why we requested the cooperation of everyone to serve as a channel of distribution of those establishments that meet these requirements will help everyone become increasingly sustainable. Encourage -vos participate!.
