AICEC-ADICAE is an organization of consumers and users specialized in the field of financial services and insurance. In addition, we also target the large areas of consumption such as telecommunications, basic supplies and transport. Since 1998 we have been working to create and consolidate a movement of critical, responsible and supportive consumers in order to change the prevailing consumption model and create a fairer society and a more democratic economy. Likewise, we aim to compensate for the great difference that exists between citizens and financial institutions and large companies, which are increasingly distant from the legitimate economic and social interests of consumers and users.

Throughout these years AICEC-ADICAE has worked to deal with banking abuses and major consumer issues and to resolve collective cases ranging from English academies or philatelic fraud to preferential shares and clauses soil in mortgages. We have also participated in the drafting of the Consumer Code of Catalonia and have intervened in other laws discussed in the Parliament of Catalonia.

We are members of the Consumer Council of Catalonia and a member of the Municipal Consumer Council of the city of Barcelona. We are part of the Consumer Arbitration Board of Catalonia, as well as the Arbitration Boards throughout the territory. At the same time that we participate in Social Struggle Platforms such as: Platform for the Right to Decent Housing and Platform for Fair Taxation, with the aim of representing and defending the rights of consumers.

Consumers are the great force of the 21st century; we work for critical, responsible and supportive consumption and we want to do it with you!
