The Time Bank is a project to improve coexistence between people who live or work in the same place, through the exchange of their time, and in recent years has achieved a successful participation both locally, as a state or international level, far above what was predictable.
The Banc del Temps de Gràcia founded in 2004, with more than 300 people registered, is one of the leading figures in the city of Barcelona. Its headquarters are in Lluïsos de Gràcia, a centenary entity in the district of Gràcia.
The Time Bank wants to promote exchanges for caring tasks for people, be they children, the elderly or the sick, and it also wants to provide opportunities for people to get to know and trust others in order to solve needs of daily life. It is the first bank to operate without money. Only time can be deposited in this Bank, which is withdrawn at the time of use.
The Time Bank is open to women and men and aims to improve people's quality of life, as well as other tasks of daily life, while finding people to trust and exchange services with.

How to become part of the Time Bank
We all have things to offer and to ask for. Anyone, woman, man, old or young who can register at the Time Bank by filling out the membership form.
Due to COVID19 the secretariat of the Banc del Temps de Gràcia is closed and all procedures are done online / telephone

In all cases, it is advisable to have an interview with the secretariat team of the Time Bank in order to clarify what we can offer, what we want to receive and for how many hours.
Admission to the Time Bank will imply acceptance of the exchange rules.
