Who are we
Besòs Verds is an agro-ecological consumer cooperative located in the Casal de Barrio del Besòs, at Carrer Cristobal de Moura, 232 in Barcelona.
We are part of a group of residents of the neighborhood that we have joined with the aim of consuming quality products, organic and obtained directly from the producer.
What do we intend?
The cooperative, in addition to being an example of another consumption model, also wants to be a space of commitment to the neighborhood: by changing our consumption habits we can improve our food, our health, our well-being…, but we are also focusing on the reality around us.
We seek that our activity also has a positive impact on the Besòs neighborhood, actively participating in the neighborhood's associative fabric and influencing this reality.
How do we organize ourselves?
We currently receive baskets with vegetables, fruit and eggs from our only suppliers, the “Tres Quarteres” (http://www.tresquarteres.cat/). The collection point is at the Casal de Barri Besòs every Wednesday between 3pm and 6pm. If you cannot come on a Wednesday, the basket will be stored until the next morning.
The space of the collection point must be left tidy and clean; as it is shared with other entities in the neighborhood and hosts different types of activities. In order to adjust production to demand, it is required to stay 1 year as part of the cooperative. There are three types of basket that are already prepared by the supplier: large (for about four people), medium and small (two people). In order for suppliers to be able to make a forecast in the medium term, it is necessary to try to be constant in the order (not to make basket variations every month; and if you want to do so, you must notify suppliers in advance and through the responsible of orders).

Every last Wednesday of the month at 6:30 p.m. there is the assembly, which is the space for discussion and decision-making of the Cooperative.
