The BonDiaMon organization works for sustainable fishing in Catalonia, Gambia and Senegal as well as raising awareness among citizens in Spain, through talks and workshops, of the impact that our fish dish has and which species are more sustainable for the planet and healthier for us. It currently has 8 projects running for the socioeconomic development of local communities, as well as global health, working with different cultures and groups. In addition, the organization is part of the Coalition nationale pour une pêche durable (CONAPED), a Gambia-Senegal coalition to defend artisanal fishing and in favor of reviewing fishing agreements and licenses for fishmeal factories, mainly intended for aquaculture. As an organization, it also leads the challenge “Nuestro pescado devora su pescado” in the educational program The Challenge by EduCaixa.
