School program + Sustainable Schools
Project title during 2014-2015 ->
NO recycle and look what we eat!
Summary -> P1 and P2 students in the classroom have some bins in yellow, blue and brown (in order: plastic, paper and organic). They will be responsible for these containers, and P2 at the end of the week will pull recycling bins closer to school.
Moreover, after a nap every day, children P2 measure and weigh the bag of the organic and responsible for the day it must be pointed in a panel that will class.
Obviously, children 1 and 2 years but do not know how to add, but who can count, so we pointed sticks or pieces, and at the end of the week we will count how much has come despite the bag. As store organic waste until Friday, the bag will grow and as each day we measured, we can see the volume, so more children can visually observe the amount of food that is pulling each and every day week.
The teacher always has reacted to the sad fact that every time is greater, and so the waste of food relate to the issue of hunger in the world, there are children who have no food and we are pulling it.
Weekly removes a numerical result of the weight, pallets will become a graph of observation, and the volume will be doing weekly drawings and so we went looking, month by month, as increasing or decreasing or bag and weight.
In addition, families will be asked to cooperate in bringing the food in lunch boxes and wrappings; and how school will try to create toys and games with recycled elements (bottles, cardboard ...) and use of sustainable materials (as well as recycled paper, biodegradable pens ...).
