The Cinematographers Guild of Catalonia brings together the majority of cinema exhibition companies in Catalonia, both large, medium, and small, regardless of the origin of the company and the type of programming they offer (commercial cinema, auteur cinema, re-runs...), as long as they have exhibition venues in Catalonia.

The entity is made up of 497 screens (64 cinemas) out of a total of 572 existing screens in Catalonia. In terms of market share, Gremi cinemas welcome 85% of the total number of cinemagoers in Catalonia.

Although the current trend in recent years is multiscreen cinemas, the Guild also includes cinemas with a single screen, where both blockbuster films and auteur cinema, foreign and national films, are shown in original versions with subtitles or dubbed in Spanish and Catalan.
