Mawu brings science closer to the citizenry, in a rigorous, exciting and understandable way, to increase the quality of life of people and their communities and contribute to sustainable development.

The Mawu Association was born in 2007 as a result of the concerns of a group of people, trained and with a lot of experience, with firm convictions about the importance of training, education and scientific dissemination as an essential way to approach environmental sciences in society and thus contribute to a better, more sustainable and more inclusive society.

Its objectives are:
- Promote, communicate and disseminate issues related to the environment and sustainability.
- Train, train, educate and implement complementary activities on issues related to the environment and sustainability.
- Do environmental scientific research and dissemination
- Cooperate for sustainable and democratic development, in defense of the environment, for integration and equal opportunities.
