Recovering the farmer's market means recovering the square as a public space for neighborhood interaction to exchange food and much more than that. That's why we feel part of the "Recreating Cruïlles" project and its desire to recover the street and the square in the neighborhood. If they have already managed to recover a first space in " Germanetes " in the neighborhood, this is the natural place for the "farmer's market", where we will recover "la Plaça".
The square on market days is a place to exchange food, but also flavors and knowledge... There are multiple informal spaces for conversation that are combined with scheduled activities such as workshops, storytelling, concerts and talks. At the same time, we try to make it clear and visible that, when talking about food, we have to talk about gender, because it is women who, with their invisible work, feed the world.
