The Barcelona Tourism Consortium was created in 1993 by the Barcelona City Council, the Official Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Navigation of Barcelona and the Barcelona Promotion Foundation, with the aim of promoting tourism in Barcelona. The tourist office in Plaça de Catalunya is located in the heart of Barcelona. This information point has 700 m2 dedicated to tourist and cultural information in different languages. In this office we also offer: Sale of gift items inspired by Barcelona - Barcelona Original Shop VAT refund - Tax Free, Global Blue, Planet, Innova and Travel.

This organization adheres to the Barcelona Biosphere Commitment to Tourism Sustainability.
