
The International Civil Service (SCI) is an international movement that works for a culture of peace, global justice and social transformation from an associative and grassroots perspective.
Born in 1982, the SCI of Catalonia represents one of the more than 40 branches that make up the International Civil Service (Service Civil International) network.
The SCI is mainly known for the organization of international voluntary work camp projects, in which more than 5,000 people from all over the world participate every year. In addition to the organization with other local associations of seminars and training activities on various topics such as: education for peace, conflicts, north/south relations, external debt...
The tools it uses are volunteering camps, medium- and long-term international volunteering and awareness-raising and training activities. The SCI of Catalonia has different local voluntary groups and participates in other social movements and campaigns.
