The Catalan Environmental Education Society is an association created in 1985 in order to promote a renewed education that contemplates socio-environmental problems and at the same time contributes to training citizens capable of analyzing them and providing answers.
Since its inception, it has promoted shared, interdisciplinary work projects distributed throughout the Catalan territory.
It brings together professionals and people interested in the world of environmental education, from very diverse profiles and work fields and with the common goal of working for sustainability through education. It also brings together around fifteen organizations and facilities in the territory.

What is proposed?

• Stimulate, promote and disseminate research, studies and activities related to Environmental Education, in order to progress in its development
• Search and consolidate points of reference in Environmental Education
• Discuss objectives and strategies, experiences and results
• Facilitate the publication and dissemination of bibliography and resources
• Improve the training of environmental educators
• Promote networks of exchange of experiences to achieve personal and institutional enrichment

The SCEA is a signatory to the Citizen's Commitment to Sustainability.
